Aki dearest. Ok I'm sold with that wink. The meaning of this anime to you must be immense and it's reflected in this video. Being able to look back at any story and seeing how you've changed due to that story and the difference in how you interpret that story rewatching it is always an inspiring eye-opener. To sink or swim, to survive Tell that it's Dog eat dog world What went wrong?  What went wrong?  Survival of the fittest, the weak are meat for the strong to eat If it's the world that our wisdom will lead Well, tell me what went wrong?  What went wrong?  I've paid my dues, I've sold my soul So tell me what is left for me When I've given up everything? Can someone tell me how I use to picture The scenes that I used to dream of? No Matter what scenery I saw, I didn't feel anything Hey, even if I make up my mind Was I, that had been longing for that view, feelingless? Can someone tell me how I use to picture The scenes that I used to dream of? No Matter what scenery I saw, I didn't feel anything Hey, even if I make up my mind Was I, that had been longing for that view, feelingless? A clearly unfearful world Take the balance of Good and evil To kill or be killed is it such a petty world? Hey, somebody, Try to answer me.

Euphonium the Movie: Welcome to the Kitauji… Synopsis Recap of Season 1. After swearing off music due to an incident at the middle school regional brass band competition, euphonist Kumiko Oumae enters high school hoping for a fresh start. As fate would have it, she ends up being surrounded by people with an interest in the high school brass band. Kumiko finds the motivation she needs to make music once more with the help of her bandmates, some of whom are new like novice tubist Hazuki Katou; veteran contrabassist Sapphire Kawashima; and band vice president and fellow euphonist Asuka Tanaka. Others are old friends, like Kumiko's childhood friend and hornist-turned-trombonist Shuuichi Tsukamoto, and trumpeter and bandmate from middle school, Reina Kousaka. However, in the band itself, chaos reigns supreme. Despite their intention to qualify for the national band competition, as they currently are, just competing in the local festival will be a challenge—unless the new band advisor Noboru Taki does something about it. On the movie: Solid if average recap film that suffers from the lack of breathing moments that make the show feel so immersive and atmospheric. There are a few new bits of animation here and there but it's largely just a condensed version of the series. There's no reason to really watch this unless you're a dedicated fan that wants to view it as a curiosity since it's just the show but worse, but I understand that any sane company would take the free money by doing minimal editing to turn this into a theatrical release. Evangelion Death +… Me: reads synopsis of some drama about people and relationships and things] Yawn. pass. Not my thing. Also Me: reads synopsis of some slice-of-life cartoon about people and relationships and things] Oh, snap! That sounds pretty good! Definetly going to check that out! LOL. IM USING THIS FILM AS A BACKDROP FOR MY ANNOUNCEMENT) So right now the new year is starting for many countries and now Ive decided on one of my New Years resolutions for 2020. Im gonna try and do something that my be easy or hard but. Im gonna try and watch EVERY SINGLE ONE  of the Godzilla Shows films in order. And maybe some of the other Japanese films in that category. I thought it was finally Id tackle this series and I think this upcoming year is a great time to do so.  Cheers. I haven't seen the show so this first season edited into a movie is all I know about the characters and plot. There's not a lot to say but I enjoyed this as an underdog story with a variety of likeable characters. There wasn't much in the way of character development or intimate moments, but I suspect the show significantly pads out the narrative. Having said that, as the film is entirely plot focused, it's hard to see what could be missing aside from additional character scenes so in that sense, this is a good edit of a lot of material. It was fun and moving, if not exemplary, and I really enjoyed this even if it didn't really impress me (although there was a few great moments. 2016 Ranked Sound Euphonium: Season One (2015) This is my lesbian high school concert band fantasy brought to life, with compelling feelings of ambition, obsession, regret, contentment and inadvertently articulated love peppered throughout. Each episode conveys something fresh and inspiring to deepen the storytelling. Ok fine. Call me bias, but as a euphonium player myself, this show/movie perfectly captures the essence of what concert band is like. Also Kumiko is my favorite character in fiction ever, maybe. Recent reviews Doesn't work as a movie. There's some promise here, and I guess that the story is much better when it has room to breath and develop with time. Here it's pushed, you don't get to know the characters or see much of the progress. Looks very nice. Probably shouldn't have watched this before the TV series just so I could be up to speed for Chikai no Finale but oh well. The film's pacing is rather quick and I feel like it skips over some crucial character details, dumps a lot of information at once in each scene and expects me to connect them without aforementioned characterizations completely intact (I'll assume that these films were made as memory refreshers rather than genuine compilations) but that's my fault for not having watched the show so I could fill in the gaps. All of this was rather jarring for the first half and some of the cuts felt abrupt to me, but the second half flowed a lot smoother. … This represents the show: Naoko Yamada is slowly becoming my favorite director, with her amazing direction of art and storytelling being spectacularly presented in A Silent Voice, and I'm eager to dive into her films that I've missed. To increase my excitement for Naoko Yamada's new film, I'm going to review the show that inspired it! The incredible expertise expressed through the dazzling animation and use of framing exemplifies my love for Kyoto Animation. This grounded story surpasses all of the dumb tropes of the slice of life genre and becomes an incredibly deep character study. Every episode benefits its broad goal of presenting passion with the inherent moral boundaries that discourage it.
